Description

A deployment of the AuScope - ANSIR long-period magnetotelluric instrument pool within the AusLAMP acquisition run jointly by Geoscience Australia and the Geological Survey of New South Wales. All twenty of Adelaide University's LEMI-424 systems - both the June 2016 and March 2017 commissioning batches - recorded alongside Geoscience Australia's own LEMI-424 fleet.

The array recorded at 61 of the survey's 321 sites on the AusLAMP half geodetic-degree grid across New South Wales between 18 July 2016 and 28 August 2018, totalling 2,869 instrument-days of three-component magnetic and two-component electric field recording at 1 Hz. Deployments of the June 2016 batch interleave with the same instruments' 2017 loan to the AusLAMP Exploring for the Future Phase 1 campaign in the Northern Territory and Queensland. Transfer functions and models derived from these recordings are published by Geoscience Australia and the Geological Survey of New South Wales under the related identifiers below.

Credit This instrument deployment is part of the AuScope - ANSIR (National Research Facility for Earth Sounding), supported by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). The instruments are owned and operated by The Adelaide University as part of the ANSIR Earth Sounding capability, and were made available for the AusLAMP New South Wales field campaign conducted jointly by Geoscience Australia and the Geological Survey of New South Wales. Field operations, data processing and data publication were undertaken by Geoscience Australia and the Geological Survey of New South Wales.
