| Description | The Earth Data PR6-24 is a portable, high-resolution field data acquisition system designed for long-duration geophysical observations in remote environments. The recorder provides simultaneous multi-channel analogue data acquisition with sampling rates from 1 to 3000 samples per second, high dynamic range analogue-to-digital conversion, and GPS-disciplined timing for accurate time synchronisation. The PR6-24 supports a wide range of passive geophysical sensors and has been widely deployed for broadband and long-period magnetotelluric (MT) surveys and passive seismic investigations. When configured with compatible magnetic induction sensors and electric field electrodes, it records naturally occurring variations in the Earth’s electromagnetic field for magnetotelluric investigations. The instrument supports both standalone and remote-reference survey configurations and has been used in studies of crustal and lithospheric structure, mineral systems, geothermal resources, groundwater, and tectonic processes. This instrument instance forms part of the AuScope - ANSIR: Research Facilities For Earth Sounding and has been deployed in multiple research surveys across Australia. |
