| Description | The 2018-2019 Tumby Bay Broadband Magnetotelluric Survey was a temporary field campaign conducted across the lower Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, to investigate the electrical resistivity structure of the crust and upper lithosphere beneath the Tumby Bay region. Broadband magnetotelluric measurements were acquired to support studies of regional geological architecture, lithospheric structure, and mineral systems. The survey was undertaken in two phases, comprising an initial deployment during July 2018 followed by the re-occupation of selected stations during November 2019 to improve data quality under conditions of low natural electromagnetic source-field strength. The survey comprised 39 unique broadband magnetotelluric stations distributed along an approximately 80 km east-west profile with nominal station spacing of around 2 km. A continuously recording remote-reference station was deployed at the western end of the survey to support remote-reference processing. Data were acquired using Adelaide University LEMI-423 broadband magnetotelluric systems accessed through the AuScope - ANSIR Research Facilities for Earth Sounding. |
