| Description | The 2021 Jupiter Ultra-wideband Magnetotelluric Survey was a temporary field campaign conducted across the Jupiter prospect in the Curnamona Province, South Australia, to investigate subsurface electrical resistivity structure associated with the Jupiter MT Anomaly Definition Study. Ultra-wideband magnetotelluric measurements were acquired to support analysis and modelling of the crustal electrical resistivity structure beneath the prospect area. The survey was undertaken during May 2021 and comprised 63 broadband magnetotelluric stations distributed across the target area, together with one continuously recording remote-reference station operated to support noise reduction during data processing. Data were acquired using Phoenix MTU-8A ultra-wideband magnetotelluric systems provided by Geoscience Australia and Phoenix MTU-5C systems hosted by Adelaide University and accessed through the AuScope - ANSIR Research Facilities for Earth Sounding. The survey formed part of Accelerated Discovery Initiative project RD01-117, “Jupiter MT Anomaly Definition Study”. |
